Jake McDonald

A water baby from Brighton, Jake has been honing his skills since his first detention for doodling in the margins. He graduated from Brighton University in illustration and now specialises in digital illustration for kids. His work can be found across the globe, on the shelves of shops in Asia, Europe, and the USA. Taking a playful approach to illustration, Jake is inspired by all things storytelling, from board games to Studio Ghibli. He credits a childhood meeting with Chris Riddell – a memento of which is proudly displayed on his studio wall – for showing him the potential for the career that he loves.
